Once again we are delighted to have RaeLynn from ITCHIN’ FOR SOME STITCHIN’ to share another project. This will interest crochet learners – the classic granny square.
Crochet Learners – the Classic Granny Square
Granny squares are a basic crochet motif and when my grandmother taught me to make these squares it opened up a whole new crochet world for me.
The classic crochet granny square pattern is worked in the round. If you are a beginner and need a tutorial on crocheting in the round I have one for you.
This basic motif is the building block of the more complex granny square variations.
Learn this basic square and then your imagination is the limit of many wonderful crochet projects. Think afghans and blankets purses and skirts . . . .
You will love the variations you can create with the granny squares.
I’m RaeLynn, a full-time homemaker who loves to crochet, knit, quilt, and sew. I’m also passionate about teaching others how to do these wonderful hobbies!
